Bio

photobioAli has been acting since the age of 7. Ali got her start as an actress by doing musicals during her younger years, until she received a theatre scholarship from Willamette University in Oregon, where she discovered and fell madly in love with the rich language and texts of Shakespeare, Chekov and other classic playwrights. After graduation she moved to San Francisco, eventually attending A.C.T. (or American Conservatory Theater), the acclaimed Regional Theater and M.F.A. program. During these three years of intensive classes she was trained in the Meisner technique which helped her hone her comedic and dramatic acting skills.

Immediately following graduation Ali played the role of “Poppy” in Micheal Frayn’s hilarious, farcical comedy Noises Off which ran at both San Jose Repertory Theatre and Pasadena Playhouse. The production was a success and went on to a commercial run at The Marines Memorial Theater in San Francisco.

Now living in Los Angeles, Ali continues to pursue new theatrical projects and explores the unique world of film and television with fascination and a sense of humor. Ali is proud to be a member of both Actor’s Equity and Screen Actor’s Guild.

Ali is also an instructor at Sheila Kelley’s S Factor, a groundbreaking fitness practice for women. She is also often found traveling the country as Director of S Factor Teacher Training.

In her free time, Ali enjoys writing, yoga, playing board games, re-imagining her home decor, enjoying the sunshine and reading ‘historical smut’.
