spit it out

spit I am finding it hard to say what I feel. It’s right there, just below my vocal chords. I feel what I want to say but when I go to speak no actual words come out.

It just gets stuck, dammit!

I am not good at arguing and I am a terrible debater! It’s not that I don’t have opinions or a point of view, but I process information in a different way. Perhaps a slower way. I am lucky to be skilled at taking in and processing other people’s points of view, but it is often at my own point of view’s expense.

Grrrrraaaaawwwwwwhhhhhh!

all hail!

Today at work, while sitting at my little desk by the cold window, I heard a noise that my ears have become unaccustomed to hearing. It took me a few moments until I correctly identified the sound of hail hitting the roof and the window.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, Los Angeles experienced real weather today. HAIL!

Not only that, but it’s been raining all week, with rain expected through the weekend ~ and I mean real raindrops, not just mist.

And I’m not lying.

Yippers!

brain This book is the newest addition to the teacher training program at work. I highly recommend it to all my female friends especially. It will make you feel a little less…how shall I say…crazy. You dudes, too, might actually like it and learn something about the way we women think and behave according to our science…

Pick it up - easy, interesting read!
*have I already suggested this?

stunned and sad

Yesterday, around 3:30pm California time my office mate muttered something I thought was a dark joke.

She said “Heath Ledger died.”

I heard her, but it took me about 45 seconds before I registered what she had said. I looked over my shoulder disbelievingly and said “What?”

And she said, “I don’t know - I just got an IM”

So I googled it and found out that he had been found dead in NY just 3 hours before.
ledger

I’m quite sad, because he was a young actor of whom I was actually very proud.

I wish peace to him and his family.
