tag…you’re it

I was tagged by Miss Erica, so…

Here’s how you play. Once you’ve been tagged, you write a blog with 10 weird, random things, facts or habits about yourself. At the end you choose 10 people to be tagged, listing their names and why you chose them to be tagged. Don’t forget to leave them a comment “You’re It!” and to read your blog. You can’t tag the person who tagged you…

1. If I’ve ever told you that I was allergic to fish, I was lying. The truth is that I have a terrible psychological block toward eating anything that came from a body of water. So, sorry about that. I just sometimes find it easier to say I’m allergic than to go through the whole ordeal of people trying to talk me into it. I’ll cry, you know. (haha)

2. When I was in grad school I would sometimes buy cheap new underwear at Ross Dress for Less instead of doing laundry.

3. I have rather crooked fingers.

4. Because of #4, I used to hold my hands in fists or under tables to hide them.

5. I kind of, really like Taco Bell. Ok!? And no, I don’t consider Taco Bell Mexican food.

6. I don’t really like to drive, but I love to ride in the car.

7. When I was being ‘interviewed’ for Kindergarten, they asked me what my father did and I said, “He takes care of chickens”. He’s really a psychiatrist, but what I actually saw him do was take care of our chickens.

8. In that same interview, my response to ‘what do you see on a rainy day?’ was “Rainbows”.

9. I secretly wish I’d had the guts to move to New York. (but it’s not a secret anymore, is it?)

10. My least favorite chore is mopping the floor.

People who I choose to have to do this next: (either on your own site or on myspace)
(Why? Because they are all people I’d like to learn new things about)
A. Sunshine
B. Jenni
C. Tina
D. Stephanie
E. Rie
F. Cami
G. Sujata
H. Michael C.
I. Saba
J. RJ (yeah, right.)

found!

The bad news is, R missd his haircut.

The good news is…Marceau came home!
And not a scratch on him….

foundkitty R deserves major thanks for his endless effort and sleepless nights. All of his work paid off. A lady in my building called him this afternoon (getting his number from one of our posters ~ rah!) and said she and her husband thought they had seen that cat in the bushes outside her patio. R rushed to my house, missing his haircut appointment, and noticed that the fresh can of food he put out (a new one each day) was gone. And just about that time, Marceau superman jumped over the fence and into my patio. And thank you all for your kind words, thoughtful notes, text message hugs, cat to cat mental telepathy and support.

He ate 2 cans of food. He keeps purring and loving R all over (I can’t blame him). He wants to snuggle and stay close. He even drooled.

He came home, he came home, he came home!

Did you know that the number one way people find their lost pets is from posters?

the search continues…

Poor sweet, silly Marceau.
There is no need to try and come find me out in Texas.
Turn around and go back to LA…

Over the last several months I’ve been reading historical novels about the English court, by British author, Philippa Gregory. Beginning with The Other Boleyn Girl about Mary Boleyn, sister of Anne, and now The Virgin’s Lover about Elizabeth I before she became the virgin queen. If you have not read these and have any interest in historical fiction (or historical smut, as R calls it), I highly recommend these books. Next on my list are The Constant Princess, The Queen’s Fool and The Boleyn Inheritance.

The TudorsLast month, I saw a great, big billboard advertising a new tv program on Showtime called The Tudors, which is about Henry VIII just before he becomes infatuated with Anne Boleyn. I was so excited, but so disappointed that nobody I know has Showtime. But right here in Texas, in my little hotel room, there is Showtime and The Tudors premiered tonight! Needless to say, I was so excited. I camped out on my bed, waiting for it to begin. It stars Johnathan Rhys Meyers as Henry VIII. He and the show are yummy…

Here’s to historical soap operas!
