summer battleground

I love summer. And I love my cat. But I hate my cat’s summer flea battle.
He scratches. I bathe him. I wash everything in the apartment. Twice. I vacuum. Eight or Ten times. And still, the summertime turns my apartment into a flea battleground. Me and Marceau against the flea population.
The funny thing is, Marceau doesn’t know that’s why he gets so many summertime baths…and he hates, hates, hates them. I think he knows deep down that I’m trying to help him in some way, but he certainly wishes it didn’t involve water and flea shampoo. He yowls like you wouldn’t believe. Here he is after today’s bath.
